“Several years ago, we used Jimmy Walden of Walden’s Construction, to remodel a bedroom at our 1952 river cottage.

The place had no heat or air conditioning. As much as we loved the cottage, which was in my wife’s family since being built, it just wasn’t comfortable for us. His work on the first job was excellent.

About a year later we decided to redo the entire house. There was not a moment that we considered using anyone other than Walden. He was quick to sit down and review our plans. His price was very fair. The project started exactly when said and the completion was also just as promised, in only five months!

All systems were replaced; Porches were closed in to become sleeping rooms. Winterization throughout and full AC was added. A new kitchen and screen porch were made. Tile floors replaced bare concrete. Skylights were added.

The most difficult hurdle was to keep the original casual character that made the home so special to us. The last thing we wanted was a modern plaster interior, covering the knotty pine inside. We eliminated much screen along the waterside but retained our views with windows and a large porch, as suggested by Walden. Walden met our every expectation. His workers and sub-contractors were excellent. We recommend Walden’s Construction with the highest praise.”
